OUR ORIGIN
I founded Specialty Seats Ltd to solve the largest problem with custom upholstery – long lead times and unexpected costs.
As an upholsterer it’s difficult to quote a seat when you don’t know the state of the foam, springs, or frame until it’s disassembled. Customers are often faced with added costs and extended lead time if their upholsterer finds worn foam, broken springs, and rust. This hurts everyone’s schedule and pockets.
The solution is building a new bench seat. New painted frame, springs and foam. Made in Canada. Building with new parts ensures no hidden surprises, so you get a fixed cost and predictable lead time.
Our seats are designed specifically for custom restorations and pro-touring trucks. These are replacements, more comfortable upgrades, not reproduction parts. Every seat design has three goals. First, maintain the classic styling found in 50s-80s trucks. Second, make it as comfortable and ergonomic as any new bucket seat. Third, a simple bolt-in fit in your cab for a five-minute install.
